Polish Drift Championship
The five-time Polish drift champion decided to return to national competition in the 2025 season after a three-year break. After winning the title in 2021, Kuba focused on international appearances in Drift Masters. Now, behind the wheel of a Toyota GR86, he once again fought for top positions in the Polish Drift Championship.
This year's season consisted of four rounds held at Autodrom Słomczyn, Katowice’s Muchowiec airport, and tracks in Kielce and Poznań. Right from the start, Przygoński showed he was aiming for the top. In the first two rounds, he finished in the top four, which placed him second in the overall standings at the halfway point of the season.
Things changed in the third round, held at the Kielce track. Jakub started off strong, finishing second in qualifying and receiving the highest judges’ score for his driving line. Unfortunately, a clutch failure during Sunday’s battles eliminated him from competition at the TOP 32 stage. The loss of points significantly complicated his position in the overall standings.
In the qualifying for the final round, Przygoński delivered a strong performance. He confirmed his high form in Sunday’s finals as well. He finished the last event of the 2025 season in third place, which allowed him to climb to fourth in the overall standings.
Drift Masters
The 2025 season of the world's top drifting league was originally planned to consist of seven rounds. The inauguration was scheduled for late April in Rome, but due to the death of Pope Francis, the event was canceled and the entire series was shortened to six rounds. Drivers competed in Spain, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Germany, and Poland.
The start of the Drift Masters season did not go as planned for Przygoński. In the first round, he was eliminated in the Top 32. In the next round, held in Finland, his performance improved significantly. The Orlen Oil driver confidently advanced through the stages, but in the battle for the semi-finals, he had to concede to the reigning champion.
In Ireland, he once again showed a high level of skill and reached the Top 16. There, he faced Kevin Pesur, who was in excellent form that day and ended the Pole’s run in the competition.
As the season entered its decisive phase, the next events took place in Riga and Ferropolis, Germany. In Germany, a small mistake led to Przygoński’s defeat against Itay Sadeh. Unfortunately, bad luck followed him to the grand Drift Masters finale at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw. During practice, a collision caused damage to his car. The mechanics put in tremendous effort to rebuild it. After the qualifications, it was clear that the first round of Saturday’s finals would be very challenging. Fans in Warsaw witnessed a spectacular and evenly matched battle. After a thrilling duel, the judges awarded the win to the Irishman, and Przygoński concluded his Drift Masters season.
FIA Intercontinental Drifting Cup
Kuba Przygoński has been nominated to participate in the FIA Intercontinental Drifting Cup, the only drifting tournament held under the patronage of the International Automobile Federation. The competition took place in Riga. Polish fans were hoping for a repeat of last year’s Motorsport Games, where Przygoński won a gold medal.
The Orlen Oil driver started the competition brilliantly. In the qualifications, he scored over 90 points in both runs, securing second place in the standings. He also performed excellently in tandem battles, confidently defeating successive opponents and advancing to the quarterfinals.
In the fight for a spot in the semifinals, he faced the host nation’s representative, Nikolass Bertans. Unfortunately, a small mistake in the second run decided the outcome, resulting in a loss. The Latvian driver was in top form and ultimately claimed the FIA Intercontinental Drifting Cup title.
Now, after such a demanding season, Jakub has time for a bit of relaxation and rest. However, the break won’t last long, as he will soon begin preparations for the 2026 season.
